On December 11, 2003, the shirt of Viggo Mortensen attracted the attention of the attendees UK premiere of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King. A garment in which the flag of the United Nations was stamped, as a call to the bond of all peoples. Almost 20 years later, the actor has decided to rescue the same outfit for the preview of Thirteen Lives, the new film directed by Ron Howard. No, Mortensen does not lack shirts in his closet, but rather his own social denunciation. “Thirteen Lives is a story about a collective international selfless effort to save ordinary people, 12 children and a coach. The world came together and did something like this, not for political gain, not for money, but because it is the right thing to do.” The actor has pointed out to THR. “These things seem to be much more popular than collective efforts for the greater good, so I thought, well, I’m going to wear this shirt.”. Thirteen Lives narrates the true story of the international rescue mission that happened in 2018, after a boys’ soccer team and their coach were trapped in a Thai cave. Signed by the writer William Nicholson (Invincible, Gladiator), Thirteen Lives also features the presence of Colin Farrell, Joel Edgerton and Tom Batemana film that will arrive on August 5 at Prime Video Spain.
