“Money Heist” season 5 finally has a start date. It is supposed to be the finale of the Spanish Heist story, which we hope to see a spin-off for.
The near future, including a spin-off, is already being planned, so the creators were not afraid to end up with another nasty cliffhanger. Corona had postponed the shooting. Belated but not forgotten, the premiere of the fifth season on Netflix is now imminent and the first teaser is already there:

After much speculation that Netflix could continue as early as mid-2022, we are now certain: Part 1 of the fifth season will start on September 3, 2022, the second half of the season will follow three months later, on December 3, 2022.

Perhaps the last season will be much worse than expected for the protagonists? The author wants it destructive and has thought about it for a long time.
The first picture that appeared in connection with season 5 showed a charred Dalí mask. That spoke volumes, but in Esquire, the series author Pina explains the metaphor again in his own words:
“We spent almost a year thinking about how to destroy the gang. How to tame the professor. How to get into irreversible situations for many characters. The result is the fifth season of “La casa de Papel”. The war is reaching its most extreme and wildest heights, but it’s also the most epic and exciting season.”
Extreme and wild heights, irreversible situations, it all sounds exciting, but why not just a nice ending for everyone? How about the actual ending after the first two parts, before Netflix took over the series and extended it to the fifth season? You will see, but with these explanations, you get a queasy feeling about what will become of the characters.

The first pictures that Netflix has released for the new season reveal nothing about the plot, but about the obvious distress in which everyone finds themselves. Obviously, serious opponents managed to break into the building and get the gang to lay down their weapons. Will they steam off to jail with their hands up? Hardly likely!
This picture shows nothing new, it has been looking dicey for the professor since the Inspector found him. But she holds the gun so mafia that the two can certainly negotiate a deal.
That looks like a retreat and constant fire and somehow hopeless, maybe someone will sacrifice himself again, like Berlin at the time?
At least there still seems to be a plan and possibly a contact with the outside world and the professor? Or is Palermo on the other side of the line?
The images undoubtedly threaten the disaster Pína wished for the protagonists. Will they all just die? What end does the professor have? To definitely end the series, he would have to die too, wouldn’t he?
