Samsung has blossomed into the market leader in this area, as updates are made available quickly for all current models. Xiaomi is not that fast, but it also delivers updates reliably. Who does not want to wait? You can apply a trick I’ve encountered today, which really works as I could try out.
In the end, it’s very simple. All you have to do is change the region on your Xiaomi phone. If an update for your smartphone is already available for download in another country, you change the area, and an update is then offered. I just tried it with the Redmi Note 10 Pro. Of course, I chose the region when setting it up and received some updates, but not MIUI 12.5. Then I set the region to India, and I was immediately offered MIUI 12.5 as an update. If you stay in the region, you will see advertising. But while the update was still being downloaded, I switched back to it, and no additional advertising was displayed.

There you just choose India. Other countries will probably work as well, but updates are usually the fastest there. You still get the version of the update and have no disadvantages with the software. It is only important that you then switch back to avoid the advertising.
