Actress Emmy Rossum has become a mom, and the 34-year-old along with her husband Sam Esmail has just welcomed a baby girl together. This was officially announced by Emmy on her Instagram account and this is the first child for Emmy Rossum and Sam Esmail, the creator of Mr. Robot.
Emmy Rossum shared the happy news of her becoming a mom along with two black-and-white maternity photos. One photo showed the Shameless alum showing off her baby bump, while the other photo showed Sam Esmail cradling her belly.
While sharing the good news on her Instagram handle, Emmy wrote, “On a sunny Monday morning, at 8:13 AM, we welcomed our daughter into the world.” Emmy Rossum also shared a picture of what looks to be the footprint of her newborn daughter.
Sam Esmail had proposed to Emmy Rossum way back in 2015 after almost two years of dating. They tied the knot in May 2017 with an intimate wedding ceremony at Central Synagogue in New York City.
After that, a lavish wedding reception was given at the Guggenheim Museum. Some of the popular guests at the wedding reception included Robert Downey Jr., Hilary Swan, Macy, Shanola Hampton, Rami Malek, Christian Slater, and Carly Chaikin.
The couple did not share any news about the pregnancy before this and they are not the first to take this route. Mindy Kaling had secretly kept her second pregnancy until her son was born.
Similarly, Justin Timberlake confirmed only in January that his wife Jessica Biel had given birth to a baby boy, which was their second son. As per the fans, this seems to be the recent trend in the industry.
