Each week, we will provide you with fantasy football STREAMERS and DREAMERS. In preparation for week-4 of the NFL, here are your streamers and dreamers.
As we roll into week-4 of the 2019 NFL season, some of you may be in desperate need of a player or two to boost your roster. Let’s start with fantasy football streamers, favorable matchups at specific positions for this week.
QUARTERBACK – JACOBY BRISSETT vs RAIDERS
Andrew Luck surprised the world when he retired in August at the age of 30. The collective football world immediately panned the Colts chances of success this season when Jacoby Brissett became the de-facto starter.
Fast forward to week-3 and Brissett has the Colts at 2-1 with a completion percentage of 71.7%, for 646 yards and 7 touchdowns. Four of those touchdowns have gone to TY Hilton who is currently questionable to play in week-4.
Even without the talented TY, Brissett and the Indianapolis Colts should be able to handle the struggling Oakland Raiders at home. Wonder if he would have made the list if Khalil Mack was still with Oakland?
RUNNING BACK – JUSTIN JACKSON vs DOLPHINS
While Melvin Gordon continues his holdout, Austin Eckler has been handling the starting Running Back duties for the “San Diego” Chargers. Eckler has run away (Pun intended) with the job, as he is currently ranked as the 3rd highest scoring RB in half-point reception leagues.
So what does this have to do with Justin Jackson?
The dumpster fire known as the Dolphins is in full-on tank mode and allowing 624 yards on the ground in only three miserable weeks. Last week, both Ezekiel Elliot and Tony Pollard reached the century mark. I think it’s safe to assume that LA will cruise to an easy victory and use Jackson as the main weapon for running out the clock.
Jackson has also been VERY good in his limited touches this season, averaging 7.71 yards on 18 carries. He has yet to score a touchdown this season, but he has had a touchdown called back on penalties in 2 games this season. This week should be a monster game for Jackson.
WIDE RECEIVER – TERRY McLAURIN vs GIANTS
The Redskins haven’t exactly earned the highest praise from the Hotheadz. During draft prep, we all insisted that there was literally no one worth drafting in the first four rounds of any draft.
The Redskins have been predictably bad to begin the NFL season. They lost Derrius Guice to yet another knee injury and their defense has been a sieve.
The one bright spot has been rookie third-round wide receiver Terry McLaurin who is showing out as Case Keenum’s number one target. He has scored in every game so far this season and with a dream of a matchup against the leaky pot known as the New York Giant secondary, it is likely he will score once more in week four. No intention of rhyming that but, hey, small victories.
TIGHT END – WILL DISSLY vs CARDINALS
*SPOILER ALERT* for future versions of this article: the name “Arizona” will likely be in the header of this paragraph for the foreseeable future.
Arizona’s defense has been putrid all around, but the points they are allowing to the Tight End position are epically amazing. Sprinkle in the fact that Will Dissly has also become Russell Wilson’s favorite red-zone target, scoring five touchdowns on only 20 receptions in his ENTIRE NFL CAREER.
What makes this guy even more amazing is that he is doing all of this off a torn Patella Tendon last season. That’s same injury that ended the career of Victor Cruz and is currently wreaking havoc on the career of former Seahawk tight end Jimmy Graham.
