HOF 2019: Mariano Rivera, Roy Halladay, “Moose” and Edgar Martinez

Mariano Rivera is the first player ever voted in to the Hall of Fame with 100% of the vote.

In this season 2 teaser episode of wtts pod, manny and ct discuss the national baseball hall of fame class of 2019, including mariano rivera.

On Tuesday, the BBWAA announced the new members of baseball’s Hall of Fame. Among those who received at least 75% of the vote were Closer Mariano Rivera, DH Edgar Martinez, and SP Roy Halladay and Mike Mussina.

Manny and CT discuss why took so long for a player to be voted in to the Hall of Fame unanimously. They talk about whether or not Mariano Rivera should have been the first player ever to receive 100% of the vote.

Then, Edgar Martinez’s selection is also discussed. Is Edgar Hall of Fame worthy? AND why is Roy Halladay considered such a clear cut hall of famer while it took Mike Mussina six years to get in.

Finally, what should we expect next year? With Mariano Rivera entering the Hall of Fame being the first player to ever be voted in unanimously, will Derek Jeter follow?

Will Curt Schilling and Larry Walker finally get their due?

All of this and more and this SEASON 2 TEASER episode of the flagship podcast of the Welcome to THE SHOW network.

Season 2 premiers on February 12, 2019 with weekly episodes.
