Fantasy Football DREAMERS; Players to avoid in Week-7
QUARTERBACK – DEREK CARR vs GREEN BAY PACKERS
The Raiders have been a huge surprise this year. Through 6 weeks they have managed to win 3 out of 5 games and are currently threatening the Chiefs for a lead in the division. Derek Carr has done a decent job this year of managing the team’s offense, but in no way has he been winning these games for Oakland. He has only 6 touchdowns through 5 games and has failed to break 300 yards passing. He will face two tough defenses in Green Bay and Houston coming off his bye and I expect more of the same fantasy uselessness from Carr.
RUNNING BACK – ADRIAN PETERSON vs SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
SELL SELL SELL! Peterson managed a very good day against the Dolphins last week and the new Head Coach Bill Callahan says he wants to continue to feed his future Hall of Fame running back. Well, that’s all well and good, but don’t expect the same results in the next month. Peterson and the Redskins will face the 9ers, Minnesota, and Buffalo followed by a bye week. That’s an absolutely brutal schedule.
WIDE RECEIVER – ALSHON JEFFERY vs DALLAS COWBOYS
Against Minnesota last week, Jeffery was Carson Wentz’s number one target in the passing game. He was targeted 12 times. The next matchup for the Eagles is a huge game on Sunday night Primetime where the Eagles will travel to Jerry’s World and face the Cowboys. Dallas just got embarrassed at Metlife by the Jets last week, so I’m looking for Big D to play a much tougher game and try to avenge that loss. Dallas has also been one of the stingiest defenses against the wide receiver position and I don’t think that will turn around in a home matchup.
