Fantasy Football Streamers and Dreamers, Week-6

Fantasy Football Streamers and Dreamers, Week-6
Streamers, Week-6

Not sure which players are contenders or pretenders in week-6 of the NFL? Here are your Fantasy Football streamers and dreamers brought to you by the ‘Hotheadz.’

As we roll into week-6 of the 2019 NFL season, some of you may be in desperate need of a player or two to bolster your roster. Let’s start with fantasy football streamers, favorable matchups at specific positions for this week.

Fantasy Football STREAMERS; Players to target in Week 6

QUARTERBACK – PHILIP RIVERS vs PITTSBURGH STEELERS

The Chargers have had a rocky start to the season with holdouts and injuries and it doesn’t help when every game you play is a road game. Currently sitting at 2-3, the Chargers look to right the ship against a decimated Pittsburgh team on Sunday night.

It’s unclear if Rivers will have Hunter Henry back for this matchup, but Rivers should still look to attack Pittsburgh secondary with Allen and Williams. The Chargers are 3rd in the AFC West right now and if they want that to change, they need to win this prime time game. Rivers should come out with urgency and look to establish a stranglehold on this game right away.

RUNNING BACK – CHRIS THOMPSON vs MIAMI DOLPHINS

Well, Miami didn’t lose last week! Now that they are returning from their bye week, we can go back to attacking the weakest rush defense in the NFL. On the other side of the ball, Washington has had a very tough start to the season.

Starting 0-5, the Redskins have fired their coach, Jay Gruden, and look to begin their rebuild. Interim coach, Bill Callahan has already expressed a desire to establish more of an emphasis on the run. Against Miami, this should be a successful game plan.

Although Chris Thompson does most of his work in the passing game as a check-down option, he should find plenty of work against this marshmallow defense. This could even be the week we see a touchdown from Thompson.

WIDE RECEIVER – DJ CHARK vs NEW ORLEANS

Has there been a more exciting rookie quarterback than Gardner Minshew? (This sentence was written by a Giants fan, people.)

His off-field antics and wardrobe choices have been nothing but fun on a weekly basis. Minshew has been performing on the field as well. His favorite target thus far is DJ Chark. The two have combined for over 400 yards and 4 Touchdowns.

Experts are clamoring over Charks combo of size (6’- 3” and 199lbs) and speed has made him a deep threat. He has also shown a proclivity for catching 50/50 balls that makes him especially attractive in the red zone. It’s probably unlikely that this touchdown streak continues but I say until the combo cools off, ride the hot hand.

TIGHT END – WHOEVER IS PLAYING ARIZONA vs ARIZONA

After getting burned last week by Tyler Eifert and the Bungles, I was trepidatious about going back to Arizona’s ineptitude on defense. Unfortunately, the highest-ranked Tight End after 5 weeks is drawing that match up this week when Austin Hooper’s Falcons play Arizona.

Matt Ryan has been throwing like a man possessed as Atlanta tries to play catch-up week after week. One of his most consistent targets so far this year has been Hooper who seems to have turned a corner in his development. We expect Hooper to remain a must-start option when active in a still barren landscape of Tight End mediocrity.
