The Duchess of Cambridge has been absent on the anniversary of the UK National Health Service for health reasons.

The Duchess of Cambridge was originally scheduled to attend the religious service that is being held right now at St. Paul’s Cathedral in London to commemorate the seventy-third anniversary of the United Kingdom’s National Health Service, better known for its acronym NHS.

However, Kate Middleton has been the great absentee in this emotional appointment, which also serves to pay tribute to all the health workers and volunteers who have fought against the coronavirus pandemic, because last week she was in contact with a person who tested positive later. Although she has received the two doses of the vaccine and does not present any symptoms, she has made the decision to confine herself at home ‘following all relevant government guidelines, according to a Kensington Palace spokesman.

From the Daily Mail newspaper, they add that Kate Middleton has undergone four tests for Covid-19 in recent days and all would have tested negative. Although it has not been specified when the aforementioned ‘risk contact’ occurred, the Duchess’s last public appearance took place last Friday in the framework of the Wimbledon Championship, where she spent much of the day enjoying the sports tournament.
